Samir Hummad
Born: Nuba Mountains

Samir Hummad, has developed a nuanced understanding of the complex sociological and political forces at work in his native Nuba Mountains, where there is “no war, but no peace.” He seeks an education that will help him promote “balanced” development in Sudan.
"Northern Arab is not one block [,] most of them are good hearted, special those who are out of power circles…And if we think about revenge, Sudan will enter into closed circles of violence which will finish the green and dry, I heard som young men from south Sudan Nuba mountains and Darfur saying that one day we will force Arab to drink from same cup which we already drunk, I told them “two wrongs don’t make correct."
